SignalWisp is a floorplan-based Wi-Fi planning report service available at https://signalwisp.app.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data is collected, why it is collected, how it is used, how long it is kept, and what rights you have.
For privacy requests, contact: sam@signalwisp.app
1. Who we are
SignalWisp is operated by:
Sam Bondor / SignalWisp
Email: sam@signalwisp.app
Website: https://signalwisp.app
For the purposes of applicable data protection law, SignalWisp is the data controller for the personal data submitted through this website and related report request forms.
2. What data we collect
When you request a SignalWisp report, we may collect:
- your name;
- email address;
- preferred language;
- country or region of the property;
- property type;
- number of floors;
- uploaded floorplan files, screenshots, images, or PDFs;
- information about your current Wi-Fi setup, such as router/access point location, device model, internet speed, Ethernet availability, and problem areas;
- notes or additional information you choose to provide;
- payment status, invoice/payment reference, and order status;
- email correspondence related to the request, report, payment, corrections, or support.
We do not ask for a full home address during the initial report request. Please do not upload unnecessary sensitive information. If your floorplan contains information that is not needed for the report, remove or blur it before uploading where possible.
3. Why we collect this data
We use the data you provide to:
- review whether your floorplan is usable for a SignalWisp report;
- communicate with you about your request;
- prepare a predictive Wi-Fi planning report;
- generate and deliver the PDF report;
- send a payment link after your floorplan is accepted;
- provide one correction pass for report/export errors, where applicable;
- handle refund, support, deletion, or legal/accounting requests;
- improve the service and diagnose technical issues.
4. Legal basis for processing
Depending on the stage of the request, we process your data on the following legal bases:
- Pre-contractual steps / contract: to review your request, prepare the report, communicate with you, and deliver the purchased service.
- Consent: for optional information you choose to provide, and for the required acknowledgement that you are allowed to share the uploaded floorplan and related information.
- Legitimate interests: to maintain security, prevent abuse, keep basic internal order records, and improve the service.
- Legal obligation: where we need to keep limited records for accounting, tax, dispute, or legal compliance purposes.
5. Floorplan uploads
Floorplans can contain personal or sensitive contextual information about a home, office, rental property, or business premises.
Uploaded floorplans are used only to review your request and prepare the SignalWisp report. They are not published, sold, or used for marketing without your explicit permission.
You confirm during submission that you are allowed to share the uploaded floorplan and related information for the purpose of preparing a SignalWisp Wi-Fi planning report.
6. Payment information
Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider, such as Stripe or another payment processor.
SignalWisp does not store your card details. We may receive limited payment-related information such as payment status, payment reference, amount paid, date of payment, and billing/contact details needed for accounting or support.
Payment providers process your payment data according to their own privacy policies and terms.
7. Service providers and processors
To operate SignalWisp, we may use third-party service providers. These may include:
- website hosting provider;
- domain and email provider;
- form provider used to collect report requests;
- file storage provider used to store uploaded files;
- payment provider;
- email provider;
- analytics or security tools, if enabled.
These providers may process personal data only as needed to provide their services to SignalWisp. GDPR distinguishes between controllers and processors, and controller/processor relationships should be governed by appropriate processing arrangements where applicable.
8. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside your country or outside the European Economic Area.
Where applicable, SignalWisp relies on the safeguards provided by those providers, such as standard contractual clauses, data processing agreements, or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.
9. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above.
As a practical default:
- uploaded floorplans and related working files are normally deleted within 60 days after report delivery or after the request is closed, unless a longer period is needed for support, corrections, dispute handling, security, or legal reasons;
- email correspondence and order records may be kept for a longer period where needed for accounting, tax, legal, or customer support purposes;
- payment and invoice records are retained as required by applicable accounting and tax rules;
- if you request deletion before payment and no legal reason requires retention, we will delete your uploaded files and related request data as soon as reasonably possible.
You can request deletion of uploaded files at any time by emailing sam@signalwisp.app.
10. Cookies and analytics
The website may use essential cookies required for WordPress, security, or basic site functionality.
If analytics, advertising pixels, or non-essential tracking tools are added later, this policy will be updated and, where required, a cookie consent mechanism will be used.
At this stage, SignalWisp does not need advertising cookies to provide the report request service.
11. Embedded forms and external content
The report request form may be embedded from an external form provider. When you interact with the embedded form, the form provider may process technical information and the information you submit.
Embedded content from third-party services may behave as if you visited that provider’s website directly. This can include processing of IP address, browser information, cookies, or other technical data.
12. WordPress comments and accounts
SignalWisp does not currently use public comments or customer accounts for the report request process.
If comments, user accounts, or community features are enabled in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated.
13. Security
SignalWisp uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect submitted information, including HTTPS, authenticated admin access, and limited access to uploaded files.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information.
14. Your rights
Depending on where you live, especially if you are in the EU/EEA, you may have rights to:
- access the personal data held about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion of your data;
- object to certain processing;
- request restriction of processing;
- request portability of data where applicable;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
GDPR grants data subjects rights such as access, erasure in certain circumstances, and information about how personal data is processed.
To exercise your rights, email: sam@signalwisp.app

This Privacy Policy may be updated as SignalWisp develops, especially if new form providers, payment providers, analytics tools, or account features are added.
The latest version will always be available on this page.
